Hello everyone I have decided to create a literary diner party. While there are some more structured forms of literary diner parties I could base mine off of I have decided to do a more vague one. I will be adding to this a lot so check back for updates on my fictional part. :)

Invites:
Activities:
Here is a list of activities that we would do at my literary diner party.
1. Readers theatre (in groups people/characters would work together to create a play from a scene based on a favourite book.)
2.
Food here is the food that I would serve:
Appetizers:
Warm flat bread with various toppings - I love flat bread I love the taste and the fact it is a very versatile food by serving it with many different toppings I might be able to satisfy everyone's taste.
Philo pastries with various toppings- I recently made Philo pastries in my foods elective and they were delicious. Again they are another great option for suiting different tastes.
Thick cut potato wedges- I absolutely love potato wedges as they are just thick fries that taste more like potato and less like grease and salt! Yum!
Various crackers and antipasto- antipasto is delicious and by offering different flavours of crackers to go with it I could please all my guests.
Entrees:
Spaghetti Bolognese- When Tally was traveling to the smoke all she had to eat was dehydrated spaghetti bolognese meaning she had to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a week, and I think it would be hilarious to see her reaction when she saw this dish being served at my diner party.
Jacket Potatoes- I love baked potatoes and they are also common fare at Hogwarts sure to please all my guests that go to the magical school.
Lamb soup with dried plums- Katniss's favourite thing about the capitol. :)
Carnivores delight casserole- For all the animals at my party (people probably don't want this as it may contain mice)
French Onion Soup- :D
Desserts:
Chocolate brownies- My favourite
Chocolate cake with chocolate icing- A general crowd pleaser that may bring Harry sweet memories of his first birthday cake brought to him by Hagrid.
Lemon drops- I love lemon and so does Dumbledore. :)
Homemade chocolate and vanilla ice cream: YUM
Birthday cake fudge- My friend made me some of this and it was delicious!
Pumpkin patsies- A treat from the Hogwarts express!

Harry Potter Plasticine Figures
I decided to make some harry potter figurines from some plasticine that I received. Each figure is a different element from the book (chosen at random) and consist of various colours of plasticine, wire, a wire hook attached to a toothpick and beads to keep the plasticine model from falling off the end of the hook. Please leave comments if you would like to see a more in-depth video of how I made them.
The figures a chose to make are a dragon, a pygmy puff, a wand, the sorting hat, a Hogwarts letter, a broomstick and an owl.

Luna Lovegood's Soundtrack
I have just created a soundtrack for one of my favourite characters. Luna Lovegood for this soundtrack I have tried to pick songs that both reflect her diverse personality and that she would enjoy listening to. (In my mind anyway)
All credits to the artists
I am sorry there is no direct way to get to the songs this is because I don't own very many
1. The first song I chose for Luna’s sound track is
“Untouchable” by Taylor Swift. I chose this song because I think it really
reflects Luna’s personality. She is
unique and quirky character who others tease but harsh words do not faze
her. Luna stays true to herself and finds
friends that bring out this amazing aspect of her personality.
2. The second song I chose for Luna’s soundtrack is “Lions”
by Lights. I selected this song because
it reflects that although Luna is in Ravenclaw house she is as courageous as
her friends from the brave house of Gryffindor. This courage is represented in
the house symbol of a lion. The song
lyrics are encouraging like Luna who is always reassuring other. I appreciate
how it has magical references, reminding me of Hogwarts. A great example of
this is how boldly Luna fought at the Ministry of Magic in the fifth book.
3. The third song I chose for Luna’s soundtrack is “Who Says”
by Selena Gomez. I choose this song
because Luna embraces her unique personality throughout the book series. She always encourages Harry to stay true to
himself even when he feels that he is different and other students are judging
him. An example of this is when everyone thought Harry was mad when he said
Voldemort came back but Luna urged him to continue to tell the truth and not
shy away from others.
4. The fourth song I selected for Luna’s soundtrack is
“Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield. I chose this song because it reflects that
Luna has a hidden determination behind the strange personality that causes a
lot of people to avoid her. This song talks about you can only be you because I
think that is how Luna sees things.
5. The fifth song I chose is “What a Wonderful World” by
Louis Armstrong. I chose this song because I think it illustrates how much Luna
enjoys nature and how she finds beauty in the smallest and most overlooked
places. A good example of this is how Luna suggested flying on Thestrals to get
to the Ministry of Magic in the fifth book.
Most people find them creepy and bad omens whereas Luna saw them as useful
beings because of their incredible sense of direction.
6. The sixth song I chose is “Pocketful of sunshine” by
Natasha Bedingfield. I chose this song because it illustrates the fact that
Luna is very optimistic and she spreads this optimism to others through
encouragement and empathy. An Example of this is when Luna comforts Harry by
reminding him that he will see him again someday. I love this part because she
is thoughtful and respectful yet hopeful.
7. The final song I chose for this sound track I wrote
myself. It is called “Fly on wings” I chose it because the message of faith and
staying strong within the lyrics reflects how hopeful and reflective Luna is I
also choose it because it creates a direct connection between me and my all
time favorite character. Here are the lyrics:
Sometimes you feel like your feet are planted firmly to
the ground
Sometimes you feel like there is no one else
around
Sometimes you feel like everything's dark and dim
But there is someone just an arms length away
To guide you to a brighter day so don't give
uuuuup
Because your hopes fly on wings so don't give
uuuup
Because your hopes and dreams will guide you
Your not alooooone and soon you will be soaringggg
Away from your cares because
Your hopes and dreams fly on wings
Ohh sometimes you feel like the world out to get you
Sometimes you feel like you want to disappear
Sometimes you feel like everyone forgets you and your
all a-lone
But someone is there to lead you home so don't give
uuuuup
Because your dreams fly on wings so don't give uuuup
Because your hopes and dreams will guide you
Your not aloooone and soon you will be soaringggg
Away from your cares because
Your hopes and dreams fly on wings
So just stand tall and your faith will take care of
it all
Be yourself don't get lost in somebody else
If you feel small make a change and you will be tall
Remember your not a-lone so reach for somebody to guide
back home and don't give up
Because your hopes and dreams fly on wings sooo don't
give up because
Your hopes and dreams will guide you
Your not alone and soon you will be soaringggg
Away from your cares because
Your hopes and dreams fly on wings
Fly on wings
Fly on wiiiiiiiiiings
I am sorry there is no direct way to get to the songs this is because I don't own very many

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Book Review
In the first book, of the magical world of the Harry Potter
you meet Harry, who has always been different from the kids around him.
On his eleventh birthday, he discovers just how different he is. Harry Potter
is a wizard! The news completely changes his life. He is taken from his cruel
Aunt and Uncle and accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hogwarts
is more than Harry could ever dream of, from the Great Hall being lit by
hundreds of candles to a talking hat that sorts you into one of the four school
houses: Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. Harry is sorted into Gryffindor, where the
brave at heart dwell. When Harry and his two newly found friends, Ron and
Hermione, discover that evil threatens a secret treasure hidden at Hogwarts; they
must summon all their courage to stop disaster from striking.
“There are some things that you can’t share without ending
up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot mountain troll is one of
them.” This quote is from a very
important part of the book when Harry and Ron first became friends with
Hermione, creating the trio that travels through the whole series. This quote
also illustrates that J.K Rowling writes beautifully with a touch of magic and
whimsical humor, making the book much more interesting. One of the best parts
of this book is how J.K Rowling writes about the world we know through the eyes
of wizards. She uses places such as Kings Cross Station and puts a clever and
magical twist on them, such as the invisible platform 9 ¾ that leads to the Hogwarts
Express. The characterization in this book is also intriguing because the
characters are normal kids with diverse personalities all sharing one
abnormality - they have magical blood. Creating
interesting connections between the characters as they travel throughout the
enchanting world of Hogwarts. J.K
Rowling weaves richly descriptive and imaginative worlds, incorporating
friendship, bravery, love, and hope, along with a fascinating puzzle-piece
plot. I think that the main theme of this book is that bravery can be found in
surprising places. I would recommend
this book to anyone who loves fantasy and magic and has always thought they
have been different.
